Friday Update Sept. 15

The schedule for next week:
Monday = Day 6
Tuesday = Day 1
Wednesday = Day 2
Thursday= Day 3
Friday = Day 4

Please call by 8 a.m. if your child is going to be late or absent from school.  When you bring them late, they need an adult to sign them in by the office.

BCPTO’s 6th Annual Bobcat Dash will be Saturday, September 30, 2017 starting at 10:00 am at the Van Horne Recreation Complex on the northwest edge of town.  We can't do it without your help - both participating and volunteering!  Please check your child's backpack for more information, email us at bentoncommunityPTO@gmail.com, or visit our Facebook page  www.facebook.com/bentoncommunityPTO with questions!  Forms due back on September 18!  Plan some fun with your family! Progressive Agriculture Safety Day will be Saturday, September 23.  All 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6th graders are welcome to attend.
Pre-registration is required by Tuesday, September 19. Registration is limited, so please return the registration/consent form as soon as possible.  Registration forms should be sent to the Benton County Extension office at the address on the form.

Youth bowling is back at the Keystone Turner Hall for children 3rd grade and up!  A Six-week session starts Saturday, October 14th at 1pm.  Please sign up by September 30th by going to the following website http://tinyurl.com/bowlingTH.  Any questions can be directed to Melissa Lennie at 319.540.2342

Benton Homecoming is Friday, September 29.  The theme is Bobcats of the Future.  Dress up days are as follows:
Monday – Silver/Metallic Day
Tuesday – Parents Day (dress like your parents)
Wednesday - Grandparents Day (dress like your grandparents)
Thursday - Class Distinction
Friday - Show your Bobcat Spirit! Blue and Gold Day!

Lunchroom Notes If you notice your child has a paw print stamp on their hand, it is a reminder they need lunch money.  Please let us know if you need lunch account log in information to make online deposits. 


Thank you for using the notepad handed out at open house to send notes for your child. We understand things come up, but if you know ahead of time, tell your child and send a note with them.  Delivering messages to the classroom is a disruption and cannot be guaranteed delivery after 2 p.m.

Friday, October 27  is a  1:00  dismiss for professional learning.   Wednesday, November 1  is a   NOON  dismiss.    The schedule for next week: Monday  = Day 6 Tuesday  = Day 1 Wednesday  = Day 2 Thursday = Day 3 Friday = Day 4 We will have dress up days  for Red Ribbon Week, each day has a theme. They are as follows: Monday, 10/23 : Inside Out Tuesday, 10/24 : Wear Red Wednesday, 10/25 : 80's Thursday, 10/26 : Animal print Friday, 10/27 : Sports Day Cooks Choice for Friday,  Oct. 27 th  is: Popcorn chicken, chicken nuggets, or corn dogs potato wedges or onion rings cooked carrots and pineapple.
