Friday Oct. 20th Friday Note

Friday, October 27 is a 1:00 dismiss for professional learning.  Wednesday, November 1 is a NOON dismiss. 
 
The schedule for next week:
Monday = Day 6
Tuesday = Day 1
Wednesday = Day 2
Thursday= Day 3
Friday = Day 4

We will have dress up days for Red Ribbon Week, each day has a theme. They are as follows:
Monday, 10/23: Inside Out
Tuesday, 10/24: Wear Red
Wednesday, 10/25: 80's
Thursday, 10/26: Animal print
Friday, 10/27: Sports Day

Cooks Choice for Friday,  Oct. 27th is:
Popcorn chicken, chicken nuggets, or corn dogs
potato wedges or onion rings
cooked carrots and pineapple.

No school and early dismiss days are the perfect times to make appointments to avoid missing out on academic time.  If you need a school calendar, please send an email to rvogel@benton.k12.ia.us

Thank you to everyone for using the parent notepads when sending notes for your child and for calling in before 8:15 when your child is absent or going to be late. 

If you have moved or changed phone numbers since registration please let the office know.

Candle Barn Fundraiser - The Norway Student Council candle sales end Friday,
Oct. 27.  To be eligible for prizes, orders and money need to be turned in Friday.

The Benton Theater presents "Mary Poppins" on Friday, Nov. 3Saturday, Nov. 4 at 7:00 pm.  Sunday, Nov. 5 is at 2:00pm.  Tickets are $7 for adults, $6 for students & seniors (60+). Reserve your tickets by calling Amy Eggert at MS/HS office, 228-8701 ext 357. 
As the weather cools off and students start wearing jackets and sweatshirts, please take a minute and write names or initials on the tags so we can eliminate the collection in lost and found.
Town Halloween Information will be sent in next Friday’s note.

Fall Classroom parties will be held Friday, Oct.  27th.

Tonight is the last home football game. Students are asked not to play behind the bleachers. There have been multiple safety concerns.  

The BCPTO is an easy way to be involved and become a part of the Benton Community Family! The next meeting is Nov. 6 at 6:30 pm Keystone!
