Breakfast Buddies will be Friday, October 20th from 7:30-8:10 am.
Check out Mrs. Speer's blog to stay up to date on what's happening in Technology, the STEAM room, and TAG. Mrs. Speer will be posting pictures of projects from the STEAM room.
5th Grade group band rehearsals have started. All 5th grade band members will need to have their instruments at school on Days 2, 4, & 6 every week.
No school and early dismiss days are the perfect time to make appointments so your child does not miss out on important academic time. If you need a school calendar, please send an email to rvogel@benton.k12.ia.us and one will be sent home.
Thank you to everyone for using the parent notepads when sending notes for your child and for calling in before 8:15 when your child is absent or going to be late.

Future Stars and Hots Shots Boys Basketball forms went home with any interested boys this week. They are due this Monday, October 16!
Hy-Vee Receipts
If you shop at Cedar Rapids and Marion Hy-Vee stores, please turn in Hy-Vee receipts in the lunch room. We will be using money raised for equipment in the STEAM Room.
Candle Barn Fundraiser - The Norway Student Council will kick off candle sales October 13-27. Information went home today.
Keystone Town-Wide Trick-or-Treating and Costume Contest
is Halloween Day -Tuesday, October 31st, at
Keystone Turner Hall - newborns through 6th grade.
5pm - FREE hot dogs and juice for the kids
5:30pm - judging begins,
Town-wide trick-or-treating to follow. Please bring a non-perishable food item to be donated to the Benton County Food Bank OR a travel size personal hygiene item to be donated to Keystone Elementary.
It’s Pajama Day! You can wear pajamas on Friday, October 20, to help children in the hospital. We are encouraging everyone to bring a $1.00 donation to help us buy fleece. We are also taking fleece donations of one yard or more to make blankets for the University of Iowa Stead Family Children’s Hospital.
Are you interested in joining 4H? There is an informational meeting Monday, October 16th at 7:00 pm at the Atkins Park Pavilion. Ages 8-18 are welcome with their parents.
We have a collection of gently used winter items. If you cannot afford to purchase snow pants, hats, or mittens please send an email to rvogel@benton.k12.ia.us with your child’s name, pants size and what your child needs. We will do our best to fill those needs.
